Mid-20th Century British four-pocket waistcoat. The fashion for contrasting waistcoats, which was popular in Victorian & Edwardian tailoring, and was regularly seen in equestrian tailoring throughout the 20th century, entered mainstream fashion in post-war Britain and added a splash of colour to menswear for many years. This waistcoat is the perfect way to add colour and vintage detail to a plain suit and will perfectly compliment autumnal fabrics like tweed, corduroy and moleskin. This waistcoat was made by Dunn & Co, who were one of final bastions of traditional British menswear.
