Here are three vintage British ties. This selection of ties is designed to give the buyer a selection of colours and styles. The blue tie with diagonal stripes is made by ‘St Michael’ and is an early example of a Marks & Spencer tie. It has a reinforced neckband, indicating that it most likely dates to the 1920s/1930s. The dark red tie is made from ‘Celanese’, an acetate fabric and most likely dates from the 1940s. The dog’s head print tie is made from wool and is a rare survivor of its type from the 1930s.
