This suit has an example of the distinctive earlier style of shawl-collar dinner jacket, with the broad shawl, that was favoured from the 1920s to the 1950s. The jacket has functioning cuffs. The trousers have distinctive pleats: the inner pleat faces inwards and the outer pleat faces outwards.
